About The Artist

I don't know why I have this desire to draw and paint, perhaps I will never know but when I'm drawing its like time stands still and I can go for hours and hours scribbling away totally engrossed in the picture I'm creating (as long as I have a few cans of diet coke and the odd cup of coffee next to me). To put it simply - I love drawing and letting my imagination go and have been interested in artwork from a very early age and have drawn and painted since I can remember.

Having achieved a National Diploma in Graphic Design in 1992 and a degree in 1997, I started my own online artwork company called 'splattt.com' selling caricature prints and airbrushed artwork of the rich and famous from film stars, tv and music celebrities to science fiction and horror. I did many commissions for clients all around the globe and have since been featured in magazines and books. The site was renamed garytymon.com in 2007.

In 2011 I started to introduce pencil prints and commissioned work for animals and people portraits and since then I have decided to focus solely on pencil work and pet portrait commissions. I hope in the next few years to expand my portfolio of pencil drawings for customers all over the globe.

My other interests outside of scribbling away for hours are music, gaming, films and reading. I enjoy the many works of Stephen King, Terry Pratchett and Agatha Christie and enjoy reading a good fantasy or horror novel (anything with a bit of blood in it really!). I often listen to audiobooks whilst working on my drawings or comedy shows like the Ricky Gervais podcasts or Hancock's Half Hour. My music interests are varied but I mostly like rock, in particular Pearl Jam, Radiohead, Coldplay, Oasis etc. I also like eating and sleeping...

Anyway, I think thats enough about me! You now know everything you didnt want or need to know about me, but I sincerely hope you enjoyed visiting my site. The end.
